Methodology
RONIN draws upon decades of tactical and protection experience, including:
- Executive Protection of various State and National governmental leaders to include Governors and Presidents
- Personal protection services for the owner of an NFL franchise in a major metropolitan market.
- International and domestic travel planning and protection for dignitaries, government and business leaders
- Planning, supervising and conducting personal and executive protection operations in residential, business and public venues
- Coordination, planning and execution of numerous tactical operations to include hostage situations, barricaded subjects, no-knock search warrants, motor vehicle assaults and mass transit rescue operations
- Proficiency and instructor certifications related to multiple weapons platforms and systems to include handguns, sub-machine guns, assault rifles, designated marksman weapons and optics, chemical delivery platforms and less lethal systems.

School Security
Security conducive to education; This is RONIN's goal.
Quick-fix solutions and knee-jerk reactions will not effectively accomplish this goal. True security cannot be achieved without assessing an overall picture of the facility and its community. To realize the true value of a secure school, the community must first understand that security is an ongoing process, not a one-time expenditure. When security is approached with the overall community in mind, safety risks and liability are drastically reduced. Additionally, communication with the entire school community is enhanced through education. The real value lies in providing a safe learning environment through layered protection, community education, and sound practices.
Methodology
School Security begins with comprehensive assessments inclusive of the following components:
- Meetings with Administrators, Faculty, and Staff
- Review of current security policies, protocols and procedure familiarization with facility
- Buildings
- Outdoor areas
- Student and Visitor traffic patterns
- Access - to include staff, students, parents, visitors, deliveries and vehicles
- Special event usage of premises
The above-listed assessment is conducted utilizing RONIN's proprietary PACE Methodology in which eight separate factors provide a framework for analysis. All factors are assessed at the onset of the study for current content and relevance, when compared to best practices of learning institutions similar in size and demographic. The goal of this assessment is not to turn a school into a prison, with gates, guards, and guns. On the contrary, the objective is to provide a safe learning environment through layered protection, community education, and sound practices. After conducting the above assessment, RONIN provides detailed recommendations, based on experience and best practices. They will be constructed within the PACE structure and approach, resulting in an overall picture of your institution’s challenges, and providing a clear roadmap to a more secure environment. Law Enforcement Consultation

Methodology
RONIN stands ready to utilize our strong Law Enforcement background to assist your agency or entity with specialized consulting services designed to improve your operations and safety while reducing your exposure and liability. Our members have been responsible for the following:
- Leading multiple teams of diverse individuals to accomplish organizational goals through leadership and fostering a sense of ownership to specific projects and programs
- Authoring numerous training plans and programs to provide high-level instruction in specific areas that benefitted individuals, units, and organizations
- Coordination, planning, and execution of numerous tactical operations to include hostage situations, barricaded subjects, no-knock search warrants, motor vehicle assaults, and mass transit rescue operations
- Acquired and maintain proficiency and instructor certifications related to multiple weapons platforms and systems to include handguns, sub-machine guns, assault rifles, designated marksman weapons and optics, chemical delivery platforms, and less lethal systems
- Coordinating and supervising Underwater Search and Recovery operations utilizing SCUBA and Surface Supplied Air systems related to victims, evidence recovery, and emergency inspection, maintenance, and repair of vessels
- Conducted and supervised the inspection of deep draft hulls for vessel borne improvised explosive and parasitic devices
- Planning, supervising and conducting personal and executive protection operations in residential, business and public venues
- Utilizing vertical insertion techniques including fast rope and rappel in land-based and marine environments to conduct tactical and rescue operations
- Adapting protocols and procedures to new and changing environments by constantly reevaluating the goals of the organization, the needs of individuals and the team
- This resulted in the delivery of procedural and operational changes designed to benefit the organizations while moving forward
- Developing and authoring strategic plans that addressed the ever-changing security in the face of global and financial environments
- Planning and supervising all operations involved in the deployment of over 700 Law Enforcement Officers in the largest single-day deployment of personnel in the history of the New Jersey State Police
- Coordinating applications for multiple Homeland Security and the United States Coast Guard RBS Grants by authoring Investment Justifications. Applications resulted in awards totaling more than $27 Million
- Authoring Standing Operating Procedures (SOP) for Special Operations Units ensuring the activities and protocols of the units met, and in many cases exceeded, national best practices and standards
- Developing a special operations unit Operational Manual by compiling, authoring and enumerating policies and procedures regarding unit activities, documentation, equipment, training plans independent to the unit and incorporating guidance specific to the group’s missions and activities
- Coordinating testing and evaluation of equipment and training methods designed to ensure a better and safer overall posture for members of special operations units
- Coordinating response to numerous notable incidents including US Air Flight 1549, the Shark River Plane crash and the Hudson River mid-air collision between two aircraft
